Fan shroud how to print

Hallo

may be stupid question... but I broke my fan shroud after some 1000 hours while changing hot end. Not I downloaded this file

Can I print it laying on the bed without support / filling from underneath ? Unfortunately inly stl and no infos are at the page and any help welcome. I cant imagein how to print the middle bridge without support

 

thanks for any help. I have other problems after hot end change (org Prusa) but that is first one

the arrow shows my critical area ...

Yes, print it as-is, it contains a predefined support that you break out before fitting.

Hi

got it running! It broke out itself… now my Prusa is running with new hot end again.. 6000 hours in 2 1/4 years … what a great machine!

I recommend that you print this at minimum with ABS/ASA, and preferably with something higher temperature, like PC Blend.

The original on mine (I assume ABS) started to droop after a fairly long run of ABS prints, and I found a remixed one (below, left) that looked a bit more sturdy.

I printed both the remixed one and the original (right, below) with PC Blend and made the decision in real time to use the remixed one when I had the machine down for repair.  It has not drooped since.
