Extruder Belt - Small vibration
Hi everyone,
I've had a MK3 S+ for a few months. It's been working great so far but......
I've started to print tower like parts and there's a lot of stringing between them. I decided to print the stringing test model to adjust retraction settings and while watching it closely, I noticed the extruder belt vibrates when the extruder moves back and forth when printing the circular sections. The vibration seems to only occur on the bottom of the belt.
I've added a video. I don't know what this could be. Is it normal. Belt too tight or too loose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

It maybe my browser, but there is no video on the link, only sound.
PR has published a Tension Meter for the GT2 belts of i3 MK3S+ or Prusa MINI+ for setting the right belt tension. I use it from time to time to check if the tension is correct on my printers.

Fixed 🙂
Hi Area51,
Not sure about the video. It loads in Chrome on my Mac and iPhone.
I printed the tension meter and could see that the belt was loose. I managed to tighten it, one tooth closer and it doesn't vibrate anymore. Thanks so much for your help 🙂
Cheers,
RE: Video not showing in browser
@darthwinian not sure why it won't show in Firefox - could be something with the codec in the browser.
When I download the video, it works! Should have tried that when the browser failed...
Great you got the belt vibration fixed 😉
