Edge drooping where the same file was good before

Hey everyone, I started noticing some really bad edge droop on files that I've printed dozens of times without fail. I then went back to a good old calibration cube and found drooping there as well where it used to print perfect. I'm a bit confused due to the same files and same material printing great for a long time and then those same files looking terribly droopy. Any suggestions? I'm Printing on the Mk3s+. I've had the machine for about 3 months now and up until the problem it has printed almost 24/7. My first thought was something happened to the fans but the calibration fan check seems to say they are good and they seem to be.

This is really interesting.  I think starting with checking the fan was a good idea.  How does everything look around the nozzle?  Any blobs or junk obstructing the fan shroud?  If the printer has been going 24/7 for three months, it's possible some of the bits around the nozzle, like the fan shroud, have started to droop or collapse and are obstructing part cooling.  Good luck!

Moist filament?

That's not a bad thought. I have a row of MK3s+ Printers and I printed the same calibration cube with the filament from the troubled one and it prints great still so I'm thinking it's probably not filament related. Thanks for your input though. I still haven't figured out the cause.

Your comment made me excited because I thought that was a solid idea. I did clean out some wispy filament junk from the fan duct and blower fan and then printed the calibration cube again and it looked the same. The fans in general have gotten louder than my other MK3s+ printers so I wonder if they are just wearing out? Thanks for your input.

You could take your fans off, one at a time, lift one edge of the label on the hub, on the other side to expose the bearing hole,
Add a drop of light oil, 3in1, sewing machine oil, light machine oil will all work, then press the label back in place.  and then fasten the fans back in place too. this should quieten the fans and allow them to run faster, whilst you order replacements. then when the go noisy next time, you will have fans in stock, to replace the noisy ones.

That's a good call on oiling the fans. I do have some  replacements coming but oiling them will be a good fix for now until they get here. Thanks for the input.

Been there done the same thing myself.

I think my current fans are getting to the need oiling stage soon...
