Changed filament now every print fails
Mk3S+, Satin plate, PETG
Not had a single issue forever, but today... prototyping a part for my e-bike I ran out of the Prusament Ocean Blue PETG so I swapped in a fresh spool of Galaxy Black PETG. Tweaked one dimension on the part and tried to print it. Fail. I found plastic baked on all over the print head and nozzle. I cleaned it off and tried the old version of the part that I had printed an hour before and same thing... messy fail. Cleaned that up and tried some other models I had recently printed, all failed. I tried yet another role of Chalky Blue PETG and same fails. I also cleaned the palte with soapy water and 90% alcohol and no difference. I also remover and cleaned the nozzle, no difference.
So, I am not sure what is going on here. Adhesion issue... at least partially. Extrusion issue?? IDK. I could use some advice for sure.
RE:
Here is a pic of a test print of a really simple small rectangular part that I had printed several times before. This time. fail. Luckily the blob didn't get all over the print head this time. It started out OK with only one string coming off... but at the end the whole thing was pulled off the plate and hanging by extruded plastic.
RE: Changed filament now every print fails
Do you think I may need to change the PTFE tube?
RE: Changed filament now every print fails
OK, I am officially an idiot. Not the first time, won't be the last. It looks like somehow I must have hit the button to change the Sheet election to "Smooth" from Satin. LOL. Looks like I am back in business.
