Burn marks
Hi guys, I keep printing my cabinets and from time to time I find burn marks on the top of my prints, the bridges come out well and I have tried filling in support structures. Any advice?
RE: Burn marks
I have had similar burn marks. Not sure what causes them.

RE: Burn marks
I suspect that is old, cooked, plastic residue from your print nozzle or heat block. It is falling onto your print and then getting covered with new extrusion.

@guy-k2
That makes a lot of sense, in fact I thought about it at some point, but I looked the other way when I thought about the amount of time it would take me to disassemble the hotend and clean it thoroughly.
RE: Burn marks
Not burned junk from inside the nozzle - stuff falling off the outside. Try a brass brush before you print this one.
If you do want to clean the hot end, use a cleaning filament and a cold pull. No disassembly required.
