Basic Stringing Test

I'm trying to stringlessly print this with Hatchbox PLA. The only way I've managed to get a visible reduction in stringing is by turning up retraction length to 4mm, but I'm afraid that would eventually lead to clogs. Any settings advice for this?

Goodness - that's terrible for PLA. I recommend you lower your extruder temperature at least 5, maybe 10 degrees. You shouldn't have anywhere near that much retraction on a direct drive like the MK3. For PLA, I run .75mm retraction. Here's a very quick print.. I turned temp from 220 down to 210 half way up the towers, helped a bit more.

RE: Basic Stringing Test

Hi guys,

I got similar issues...

I tweaked the temperature from 215 to 200 deg fpr PLA but it is still not perfect.

Do I have to expect no strings at all ?
