I bought a roll of Copper EasyABS from Prusa's site, and I've been having issues printing. My first layer, and several afterwards, print fine, but at some point the plastic is inevitably soft enough that the print begins to collapse. The edges warp, not because they cool to fast, but because the plastic doesn't harden.
The Prusa ABS preset in Slic3rPE has the first layer bed temp at 100 and afterwards at 110. Is this right, or should I change it? (I've been printing at 100 on the bed.)
Also, on the filament roll, the temperatures listed have a max at 250, but the nozzle temp in the preset is 255.
I feel as if I've tried everything. I've lowered the nozzle temp, but it didn't seem to help, and I got jams in the PTFE tubing of the hotend.
Printing with PLA, I have no issues.

Any advice would be appreciated, as I also have two full spools of Inland ABS lying around, and I don't want to have wasted $40 on them.

Are the parts small ?

You will need to familiarize and experiment with the autocooling options - https://manual.slic3r.org/expert-mode/cooling

Basically, for small parts, the layers don't have time to harden enough and will touch the nozzle once the next layer is overlaid. You can slow down, slow down and activate the variable fan (autocooling), keep the fan at a low speed all the time (which will however affect layer bonding).

You can:
- make the layer print slower
- add a little cooling
- print several parts at the same time, in order to allow them to cool while the nozzle works on the different parts.

Thanks. Any advice using Inland ABS? It seems to expand a LOT when heated. (more than Prusa ABS)

Never used it. If it expands, might be worth playing with the extrusion multiplier as well. Don't be afraid to experiment (part of the fun!), you can always revert to the stock profiles if needed.

I have experimented with the extrusion multiplier in Slic3r, but no matter what it is, the Flow on my printer defaults to 95. Are the two separate ways to control the extrusion? (I.E. 95% flow 95% of the extrusion multiplier) Or am I doing something wrong?

Slic3r defaults to 95%
Go to printer settings, custom gcode, and bang out the last line of start gcode.

Then you get what you want.

I printed a rectangular shaped item with the base about 4mm width. All went well until the print was completed. However, upon cooling I noted that one corner of the part lifted from the bed, about 0.5 mm; can see the gap. My question is, how can I resolve this warping at the corner during cooling. I am using I3 MK2 Printer. I am using the standard PrusaControl with material Generic ABS, Quality 0.2mm Infill 20%, support from build plate. Thanks.
