3DBenchy jolly troubleshooting
There is some scars/defects on the left side of the 3DBenchy jolly extending from the bottom to the top. These scars/defects also appear in some other prints. I have cleaned and lubricated and tightened all screws on the printer as well as "Calibration - Wizard". What can cause this? See pictures.
Another problem is when I start a new print the nozzle gets clogget up after the bed leveling is finish, even though I cleaned the nozzle before it started. My solution to this so far has been to pause the print immediately after the bed leveling has finished and than clean the nozzle again. Is this normal?
Nozzle - 0.4mm
z seam. bottom layer says z is not right
z seam
Change seam position to random
OK. When you say "z is not right" you think if I set the seam position on "random" wil fix the problem or is it something else?
Do your nozzle also cloggs up during bed leveling with PLA?
Z is not right - that is a comment on your first layer. Your pictures do not show much of a squish, so i would expect you have adhesion issues as well.
On that folding box, the chamfer is going to be a son of a gun to get clean. Try 45 degree rather than a curved chamfer.
Other than that, that benchy is fine.
Don't go spending hours chasing benchies.
Thx for the tips, Dan! 😉
Get you Z offset Right
I would continue to refine you Z offset till it is perfect before print a full size print. Post the little rectangle from the first layer calibration and will will help you zone it in.
