XYZ calibration Failure MK3S+

I'm having an issue whenever I do XYZ calibration on multiple of my printers. Basically after I remove the paper and put the steel sheet back on, as indicated by the printer, the extruder doesn't raise but an inch off of the bed. This causes the extruder to dig into the sheet until I turn the printer off. I cant seem to find anything asking customer service about this, any suggestions?

The XYZ calibration is succesfull? Or not?
Changed firmware lately?

After finishing the part where the machine asks you to put the paper down, you put the steel sheet back on right? And the machine keeps calibrating. When you put the steel sheet back on, the extruder doesn't raise high enough, so it digs into the bed. It's in the middle of the calibration.

OK. I understand.
Try this, it might be just enough to get passed the XYZ:
- remove the nozzle (heat first 😉 and wait untill it is cooled down. Do the XYZ again.
At least you are sure it will not hit into the bed 🙂
- and the little extra space is what you need.

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.

Thank you for your suggestion! What ended up working for me was updating my firmware to the latest version (3.14.0)
