X-axis layer shift in first 5mm

I recently moved my mk3 into an Ikea Lack enclosure, and have started getting persistent layer shifts. For example, I tried to print the 60deg heatbed cable cover 3 times and got the same shift each time.  The first layer looks good, but the next 5 or so layers are each offset laterally by a couple of mm left to right. Once it gets past about that first 1mm or so the shift stops and the rest of the print is fine. However, for a part that needs through-holes the surface is ruined.

My belt status shows X tension at 235 and Y tension at 278. Is my X-belt too tight?  What else should I be looking at?

Instead of belt tension check the grub screws that attach the pulleys to the motor shafts.  Small offsets are usually a sign that they are no longer tight and were not installed properly.  If you don't tighten in a specific way then they work loose over time.

Loosening the X belt seemed to help. I have it down to 263 now and was able to print a couple of parts with no layer shifting.  I'll also take a look at the grub screws, but I'm pretty sure I got those installed correctly the first time.  Thanks for the ideas.
