X-axis crash issue, extruder unable to move left
Hi
I recently ran into an issue where the printer reported an x-axis crash and was unable to home. The extruder will easily move to the right, but when you try to move it toward the left you are met with a good deal of resistance. The resistance also seems to cause the printer to think the extruder is alway to the left and resets the home position to wherever the extruder is. I also noticed If I go into settings and move the extruder to the left using the wheel it will make sporadic clicking noises. This only occurs while moving to the left and I would think is caused by the resistance. I found a thread that had similar issues to mine and it was recommended to loosen the five screws on the back of the extruder in order to relieve tension on bearings, but, unfortunately, this did not help me. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate as I am unable to print anything at the moment.
I would also like to point out that this is a pre-assembled printer and has been very consistent until now.
