X and Y calibration

So.. I am printing something that requires tight tolerances and have noticed that the MK3 I bought for work is not quite good enough. At home I can print a 20x20 cal cube and its almost perfect. Here I am about .3% off. The issue is we are printing something that needs to be 200mm exactly and it is coming in at 199.3 at Y while X is right at 200mm.

I scaled Y axis by 0.3% and it is coming out correct.

So on my CR 10 or Tronxy I would adjust Steps/mm to calibrate. My question is: Does the XYZ calibration in the firmware do this? I’m assuming “yes” since it knows exact theoretical position by the 4 magnets. I assume I must have just gotten a slightly poor calibration?

I will likely retry the XYZ cal and see if things improve.

Thanks in advance,

Ron

Re: X and Y calibration

Steps calibration should be spot on. You can verify (and correct if needed) using this https://mattshub.com/2017/04/19/extruder-calibration/amp/

He's asking about XYZ calibration not extruder calibration
