Wiring insulation melted
Hey all.
Thanks for helping me with the last problem I had. I have yet another one.
I had a catastrophic print failure where the print released from the bed and clumped up and around the hotend. After finally getting (I think) all of the PLA off (preheated and slowly, painstakingly wiggled and scraped it all off) I noticed exposed wiring where the insulation melted and stripped off due to the PLA removal. Anyone know the gauge for the wiring used and the insulation thickness?
I looked through the store but Prusa doesn't sell it separately or mention it anywhere I could find.
Thanks.
RE: Wiring insulation melted
I believe 24awg will do for the thermistor, and 16awg will do for the heater
I would use flexible, Silicone Insulated wire would be good often sold at radio control model shops, or available on ebay
re use the glassfibre sleeves if fitted

Good advice from Joan (as always). Thermistors and heater cartridges are so cheap probably best to just replace them.
