What do I need to replace?

Hello!

I need some help/advice with what to do. tldr, I went to print something the other day and I got a error for a heatbed thermal runaway. I thought it had to do with the thermistor, but then I looked on the mother board and saw this (see photo). Is this a case where I need to just replace the PSU or do I need to get a new Einsy RAMBo as well? I'm not running into any other issues. Any advice would help!!!

I expect that you could use an external mosfet to drive the heatbed and just use the Einsy to control the Mosfet
that would take most of the load away from the Einsy Power circuits, and the connections that you have left may be enough to switch the Mosfet.

You can also solder a cable directly to the board and use XT60 connectors instead. Check the trace and connector of this burned spots. You might be lucky and they are perfectly fine.

@joantabb

That's a very tidy looking doohickey, do you know the source?

With absolutely nothing to go on, let me speculate.

Your problem was due to a bad crimp on the heat bed cable. That caused heating at the joint - a lot.

Make a close visual inspection of the Einsy. If no copper lifted / burned out on the board, clean it up. IPA on a cue tip works.

Try a replacement heatbed connector and / or wire. Einsy and heatbed should be fine.

I repeat - this is speculation from a distance. But it is what I would do.

External mosfet is not a bad suggestion even if not needed in this case. I did that for an old Rambo board.
