TWO faulty filament sensors?

The first filament sensor on my MK3 kit did not appear to work. The auto calibration wizard issued a 'filament sensor wiring error' message, and would not proceed. I double, triple-checked the connector orientation and placement, both at the sensor and on the einsy board, and did a continuity check on the cable with a multimeter. The cable was fine.

I calibrated the printer manually, and it did not affect me getting on with printing.

I searched on here, and on the Internet in general, and found a few others were having the same problems

Support were excellent, in that they issued me a replacement sensor immediately. I fitted it this morning, and I'm getting the same errors... 🙄

I've sent another email to support, but wondering what they can do now, save me sending back the einsy board for testing, which I do not want to do. I can't be without the machine for [n] days/weeks.

I'm writing on here to see if anybody else has suffered the ignominy of having not one, but two faulty sensors, and what the solution was, or if anybody has had the same problem and it turned out to not be the sensor and, if so, what it was?

Re: TWO faulty filament sensors?

When you replaced it, did you just unplug the wire at the extruder and install the new one using the already existing wire? It's possible you have a bad wire, either bad from the factory or more likely got nicked during your installation.
