Terrible Prints Need Help

On two of my prusa I3 MK3S printers, the prints keep coming out like this, with spacing in between lines and for some reason it not printing all the way to the edge of the print or a little offset to the print, both printers were brand new and have only been used to print the first layer calibration print like 20 times and our go to test print of the included batman. Support has kept telling me to adjust the first layer calibration but it doesnt seem to do anything, can someone who has had this similar issue or might know the solution please help me with this. Thank You

I finally figured it out!! i tightened the gear belt holder thing for the x axis, then ran the wizard as a brand new printer, and then adjusted the z of my nozzle from -.730 to -.840 and it is printing perfectly now, thank you to those who helped, i greatly appreciate it and the prusa community is great !! <3

Support is right. you need to go a LOT more negative on your live Z value. What is the current value, and how much have you tried adjusting it? You may need to re-position the PINDA slightly if it's too extreme.

The current is -.730 but it was at -.780 before, that new value was what the support representative told me to put

keep going more negative. Print another batman logo and adjust the value while that first layer is printing. Do large steps at first, e.g. 0.1-.02 at a time until the lines start to fuse, then keep going more negative in smaller steps until it's perfect.

See this thread for an alternate print object and examples of what a proper live Z value looks like. In fact, maybe read the entire first post:

Is that a solution just for the spacing or is that a solution for it not reaching the edge also ??

Both have the same underlying issue of an incorrect Z adjustment.

For the red circles, would that by a y issue or possibly and x issue on why it wont go to the edge, for the yellow, how come it makes those holes and comes out like that, for green, it always does some sort of zig zag in this corner, when its not suppose to which makes me belive that something else is the problem, because on my other printers it does do the curve like that

If your Z is dialed in and the perimeters are still disconnected then you need to look at your axis assembly next; I'd suspect either the belt is not tight enough and is skipping or the pulley is loose on the motor (you *did* follow the instructions and tighten the first grub screw on the *flat* of the motor shaft, right?)

Looks like a combination of things.  Loose belts, poor Live Z calibration, loose drive gear, etc.

But I think Vintage has suggested one likely problem.  There's a definite Z axis shift taking place.  Either tight bearings or loose drive.

RE: Terrible Prints Need Help

for Future reference:

Flat First: Drive gears must be tightened flat-first.

1)   Start with both set screws fully loosened so the pulley is free to spin on the motor shaft.

2)   Align one set screw dead center with the flat on the motor shaft, slowly tighten the screw until it fully contacts the flat surface.

3)   Torque the flat set screw to spec.

4)   Now tighten the jam set screw, and torque it to spec.

Once tightened, never touch the flat set screw unless the jam screw is first fully loosened.

Why Flat First? Set screws have flat ends. If you tighten the jam screw first the set screw on the shaft flat doesn't fully contact the shaft, only one small edge of the screw surface is biting. Reversing torques can easily shift the shaft to a position the flat screw no longer contacts the shaft. This lets the jam screw wriggle loose. And after a while, vibration loosens the screws until the gear is free to rotate.
