Temperature mismatch between hotend and lcd screen (new hotend)
Hello, I've recently bought a new fully assembled hotend in store. I thought it's a full proof method after my misfortune adventure with previous one. I followed the instructions and assembled printer again. But when i wanted to load new fillament the temperature on lcd stayed around 30 C while there was slight smoke coming from the printer. I shut down the printer. Later when things cooled down i set temperature to 40 C in setting. When lcd reached 25 C i touched the hotend and it felt like 70 maybe 80 C ( sorry i dont have infrared thermometer, or any better method). Anyway the temperature seem way off, while everything seem to be working fine i double-checked connections, its done like in the instructions. I don't know what should i do since most of the forum threads pointed the issue to thermistor while i assume brand new one from prusa store should work fine.

Did a new thermistor fix this?

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my opening post.
1. my hotend that was working fine broke.
2. I wasn't able to disasemble it, and fix it, so I bought a new one.
3. new hotend from prusa store ( https://www.prusa3d.com/product/assembled-hotend-e3d-mk3s/) after installation is not working correctly.
So in the end the situation is on the contrary, new thermistor caused the problem. Should i contact prusa support? Some other similar posts suggested problems with thermistor, but I don't know if brand-new item is to blame here?
