Temperature fluctuation issue

Hello!  I am having a temperature fluctuation issue.  The printer is set at 225.  The temp will drop to about 218 then rise all the way to  249 until it drops down and stays as 225 for a bit, then the process repeats.  Any ideas?  I have run PID tuning several times.  I have also installed a new e3d v6 and thermistor approximately 8 months ago.  This is the first symptom since then.  I have attached a picture of the temp graph while printing.  Ignore the temp change in the beginning from 215 to 225, i didn't want to re slice the model.  Only thing i can think of was a recent firmware update, or bad themistor.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Do PID tune. If you still have issues, consider replacing thermistor. Don't buy cheap replacement parts.

So I finally solved this issue,  I ended up replacing the thermistor with an authentic e3d thermistor.  The wires on the stock thermistor were brittle and were frayed.  After replacing everything works fine after an initial PID tune.
