Sudden Y-axis crashes, bed leveling starts too far back
Hi all,
Just the other day, I have been getting Y-axis crashes at the start of each print. I wasn't sure why, but then noticed today that when the MK3S+ starts bed leveling, it starts too far back on the bed (inside the second row of boxes) instead of at the actual beginning of the bed....so when it gets to the last row, it crashes. It's strange, though, because it has been fine all along - just started doing this out of nowhere.
Any idea why this might be happening? I have confirmed that the Y-axis belt is properly tight, and the set screw on the gear has not come loose...it seems that it lost calibration? Not sure why.
Should I just re-run the calibration? Or is there something else I should be checking?
Thanks!!
-David

Hi David,
Did you lubricate your linear bearings ?
May be time for some routine maintenance.

I had not yet...and tech support had me clean and lube the rails and everything is working normally again.
Thank you!!
