Statistics about material left
Hi all
I am wondering about is it possible to clear statistic about the printing time awithout restore to factory settings?
I am asking because I need to change PLA filament for the new one, and clearence the information give me possibility to get knowledge about how much new PLA material left.
Restoring to factory requires recalibration of the printer.

That approach is a pretty big hammer (resetting to factory, redoing calibration, etc). Over time you'll get an eye for when you are nearing the end of a spool. Running out mid print isn't that big a deal - the printer will pause the print and prompt you to clear extruder and then load new.
Some people use a digital scale to tare out the filament weight. If this is your first spool (no empties) then you can tare out the spool by subtracting the filament weight shipped (for example, Prusa spools tell you exactly how much filament was loaded) - or a rough estimate is 2.2lb if the exact filament weight shipped is not provided by the spool vendor. If you have an empty spool of the same brand you can get a decent tare weight by weighing that spool and subtracting that from the current not empty spool total weight to get remaining filament weight. Approximating remaining length is much more complex of a calculation.
