[SOLVED] Layers not aligning on Y

Hi all,

I've recently bought an Original Prusa MK3 kit, it's my second kit printer and I just finished assembling it.

The printer autotest ran without problems giving all OK, the first layer calibration also ran flawlessy.

But when I started my first prints I've noticed there is an align problem on the Y plane

The one on the right is with Crash Sensor turned ON (you can see the Y slide on the bottom part below PRUSA), the second one is in Stealth mode, so without Crash Sensor and it has those zigzags at the bottom (still Y slide)

On this side image the Y slide is more evident

I'm running on the last Firmware, I tried both Slic3r PE and Simplify3D and they get the same error

I checked the Y belt tension and they look ok with the pulleys free to move

I'm using the magnetic steel plate

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Robert

Re: Layers not aligning on Y

Loose belt, loose grub screw on motor pulley, u bolt too loose or tight.

The belt look ok, not too lose not too stiff, the grub screw is firmly on the motor, what puzzles me is that the problem appears around 2-3 layers and then disappeat 😮

Today I had the time to run a close inspection to the printer
Turns out it was really a slightly loose grub screw, coudn't see it at first glance
