slic3rpe: is it possible to "trim" an stl file?
I have an STL file that is too large. Is it possible to "crop" an STL file? I'm half thinking that I could kinda do it by rotating the stl 90 degrees [and so now x, or y, is "up"] and then use the "cut" function four times to crop the four edges.... but... is there a less klunky way?

In Slic3r-PE, that's the only way to go. Obviously, other tools can do more. Eg. in openSCAD you simply import your STL and do an intersection with a cube.
