Slic3rPE 0.2 nozzle
Hi all,
I've replaced the nozzle on my MK3S to 0.2mm.
I have no idea what to do in Slic3rPE to update this. If I change the nozzle diameter in "printers", all the options in "print settings" disappear.
Can I get a profile for this somewhere?
Thanks
RE: Slic3rPE 0.2 nozzle
Well, start by enabling the 0.25mm nozzle in Configuration -> Configuration Assistant.
Then, assuming your nozzle is 0.20mm and not the more common 0.25mm, go to each profile (like 0.10 DETAIL 0.25 nozzle MK3), go to Dependencies, Compatible printers condition and change
nozzle_diameter[0]=0.25
to
nozzle_diameter[0]=0.2
Then go to Advanced and change all the extrusion widths to 0.2. Save your new print preset with an appropriate name. Then change the nozzle size in the Printer Settings and save your new 0.2 mm printer preset.
Done.
Also of interest may be that by default, Slic3r will not show Print Presets that are incompatible with the current selected Printer Preset. To change that go to Configuration -> Preferences and enable Show incompatible print and filament presets. This may make it easier to do all the modifications you need to do as Slic3r will not be hiding the items.
RE: Slic3rPE 0.2 nozzle
Another trick is to set all the extrusion widths to 0, and Slic3r tries to figure out the real values to use based on nozzle diameter.
