Second Opinion on First Prints and Squeaking Noise

Greetings Everyone!

Today I finished building my MK3S and doing the usual Test Prints like the Prusa Plate and later a little project for my Mom.

First the First Layer:
Is the bottom layer supposed to look like this? If I recall correctly then this was at roughly Z -800 and since the Print stuck to the bed I was assuming the proper height but during the, a little more intricate, project for my Mom I experienced problems with the Filament actually sticking to it so I lowered it down to -950 which looked like the Nozzle would scratch the square filament at the end of the Z-Calibration so I bumped it back to -900 which looked nice on the Z-Calibration but still left me with some minor issues on the 2nd attempt of the Project.

Second the Squeaking:
Here's a video of it doing the "Mom Project" and it's already Squeaking like mad at certain times.
Started somewhere halfway through the print and I'm pretty sure it's coming from the Y-Axis motion though I'm having a hard time figuring out where exactly from ( Bearings / Idler Wheel ) - Any ideas and what to do? Pull out the Grease and slather every moving part with it? xD

Layer one (Live-Z) needs to be lower to fully fill the texture.

The squeaking sounds like dry bearings. What grease did you apply before assembling the bearings on to the rods (linear bearings need to be packed with greased)?  In lieu of grease, apply a few drops of oil to each of the rods on both sides of each bearing and run the axis back and forth to work it past the grease seals (powered off). That might eliminate one source of squeaking.

Prusa now list grease on their eshop site... it is reported to be included with recent Mk3s Kits and mk3s factory built printers...  hopefully I will find out tomorrow, as I received a mk3S kit last week...

My Mothers Nameplate looks like it worked out nicely except for a little dink where the first layer didn't stick to the bed.
At least it looks like the rough surface of the printers own 3D Printed parts - Could probably lower it even further just for testing:

None - I recall the Build Manual repeatedly mentioning not to use it during assembly but only for maintenance - I guess it's time for maintenance 😀

It totally does as it did with mine but, according to the Build Manual, is not necessary during assembly :°

I lube my bearings...
I know of someone else who reports living in a very dusty environment and they report washing out their bearings and running them dry...
Some use oil, some use grease...
take your pick
