SD Card Errors
I have a MK3S kit that performs perfectly. I updated the firmware to 3.9.0, and now I have a problem with the SD card. When in the printer, the files are all read fine, and everything is OK. When I put the SD card in a computer, it is either not recognized, or I get an error message that the card needs to be scanned and repaired. Once it is repaired, it works fine and I can add gcode files. This happens with two new SD cards and on two computers. It seems that either there is a firmware bug or I have a hardware problem.
RE: SD Card Errors
On the computer, only remove the card after you unmount/eject the card through software, never remove card without ejecting the card.
See if you work like this, if it is gone.

Try to format your SD card with this tool: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/index.html

RE: SD Card Errors
Thank you for the replies. After more troubleshooting, I think the problem is the Windows 10 laptop and not the printer. If I move the SD card between the printer and the Dell Desktop computer (also Windows 10), everything works fine. However, once I insert the card into the laptop, I get the error message to repair the card.
Now to get started troubleshooting the laptop. Thanks again for the help.
RE: SD Card Errors
Do the remove way I told you, if you do this you will never damage sd card(or hard disk), it is more work, but it is better to be safe.
I work like this, unmount or eject, then even if pc says remove, I still wait a little longer, then i remove it.(once i saw the pc did eject and mounted it again directly after ejecting).
Even people on work, that should be professional I had to explain this.
And a lot of normal users always just pull it out, it always works they say, bit this is very wrong.
RE: SD Card Errors
Do you know par2.
Make a few files you can copie and check with par2, fill the card, and check the par2 files, you could also use checksum program.
RE: SD Card Errors
@peter-m26, no I don't know par2, but I will definitely check it out. Thanks for the tip.
