Replacing MK3S+ Power Supply - Panic Wiring

Greetings,

My Mk3, over time upgraded to a MK3+MMU2, then upgraded to a MK3S+ and MMU2S has served me faithfully for many years until my power supply (PS) recently failed. The 5A fuse built into the PS receptacle (where the mains plug into from the wall) blows every time the power is turned on. (I am very confident this is the result of wrecking the PS by running my printer in an enclosure at high temps for long periods of time while printing ABS but that isn't relevant to this question).

I received a replacement PS from PRUSA which is a slightly different than my (very old) original one, although it looks like the mounting holes and electrical connections are the same. (For instance my original PS has a PRUSA 3D printed trim piece that a discrete on/off switch was installed into...the new one has the switch integrated into the PS itself).  There are the two pairs of 24v DC voltage lines and a small, black & white twisted pair for "panic", i.e. power loss signal just like the old PS, although the panic signal is attached via a connector in the new PS whereas it was hardwired onto a PC board in the old PS.

I'd like to mount the new PS outside the enclosure; the existing voltage and panic signal wires from the printer are long enough to make it to the outside, so I thought I'd mount the new PS outside the enclosure with an electrical terminal block (attached photo) to connect both sides of the wiring. The voltage lines are straightforward (and testable) however I don't have any information on the MK3S+ panic wiring, so I am assuming that the black and white cable pair maintains the same polarity and color scheme with the new PS as the old one so I can simply connect white to white, black to black. Can anybody confirm this?

Also the total length of the power cables will basically double however I am not expecting any significant voltage drop on the 24V DC lines. (I believe the new PS has a trim pot anyway if needed).

Any thoughts or comments welcome. Thank you.
