Re-Using Einsy Rambo
With MK3.9 upgrade in place I have an unused Einsy Rambo...
I'm thinking of using it as a CNC board and it looks like there isnt a branch of GRBL that is "ready to go".
There is a version that works with Rambo 1.4:
https://github.com/johnboiles/grbl-Mega-5X
However the 1.4 uses digipots to control the steppers current, etc..
There is version of GRBL that works with TMC2130's:
https://github.com/bdring/Grbl_Esp32
However that version is for ESP-32 (not Mega 2560 based boards like Rambo).
Before I spend a bunch of time trying to merge the two.. Or just using the TMC2130's in dumb mode:
Are others interested in a GRBL for Einsy Rambo?
or is using MARLIN for CNC your preferred solution?
If you are using Generic/Custom Marlin, any preferred branch?
RE:
Well, with no votes the easiest path wins.. I'm going to just use Marlin and once I'm done I'll post a how to.
But my project has a name.. PReUSeA CNC, as in RE-Using PRUSA parts in a CNC.
It's in the theme that I'm re-using a Roland TS-30 and rebuilding it with my PRUSA Einsy board that is left over after my MK 3.9 upgrade.
