Re: SEQUENTIAL PRINTING: Override collision check?

Greetings fellow slicers 🙂

I'm confident a parts arrange will print sequentially w/o collisions, BUT Slic3r flags collision and terminates gcode creation 🙁 I've played w/ the setting to no avail 🙁 Set 'Clearance' 'Radius'/'Height' to extremes: 0, then 1000, in case I misunderstood things (clearance needs, or provided?). Regardless, one of those should work I have to think. But I'm still doing something "wrong".

TIA.

maybe try not instanced copies?
nope wasn't that. it works with instances in alpha 5

yup acting odd. now I cant do iit. but first time it did work

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Hi Chris,

Thx for the prompt reply, and testing.

Yeah, acting "oddly" 🙁

Hm?...

P.S. Gonna do some testing in stable version to eliminate alpha as source of problem...

- BTW, got it to work w/ 2, then 3, but failed w/ 4.
- Deleted 1, then surprisingly it failed where it had just succeeded previously.
- Hm?...

ya, its borked. I cant define what makes it work. but I did have 4 work and it was instanced copies.. but I cant explain why

Re: SEQUENTIAL PRINTING: Override collision check?

I think there is an arrange bug somewhere as well that confounds this problem, i.e. if you arrange instanced parts it will not place them front-to-back, and if you print back parts first the extruder wires will hit them.

I thought there was an option to pause for part removal when doing sequential... maybe that will "override" to tell it other parts are gone?

I bet that's it.

Re: SEQUENTIAL PRINTING: Override collision check?

- Anybody heard anything on sequential printing ('Printer Settings'>'Complete individual objects')?
- Just tried in Slic3r PE, 1.42.0-beta1 (latest), but no go 🙁
- Actually, keeps reporting: "Some objects are too close...", even when that's clearly not the case 🙁
- Are we missing something? 'Cause this should be a basic functionality.
- BTW, I'm especially interested in getting this to work on a current job that requires PETG (read "stringy").
