PT1000 E3D attachment
Hello,
I am trying to print higher temp materials, I have bought the e3d components Plated Copper Heater Block, Titanium Heat Break, Nozzle X, and High-temperature Heater Cartridge. As per the e3d Temperature Upgrade Path Guide ( https://e3d-online.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016227698-V6-Maximum-Temperature-Upgrade-Path-) but am un-sure of the following
I have a Prusa MK3S, and wanted to know if the PT1000 sensors end (yellow circle) ( https://e3d-online.com/products/pt1000-temperature-sensor), like shown in the attached pic will fit into Einsy Retro 1.0 ( https://ultimachine.com/products/einsy-retro?variant=5522575818782) which I believe is the one that comes with the MK3S, without extra modifications?
Both ends do seem to look the same for Prusa thermistor and the e3d Pt1000 ones
https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/mk3mk3smk3s/205-hotend-thermistor-e3d.html
https://e3d-online.com/products/pt1000-temperature-sensor
there will also be bunch of firmware temp changes that will need to be made, i believe.
if it fits ... use it!
Fairly standard fittings
RE: PT1000 E3D attachment
If it looks the same and easily plugs, it should work.

RE: PT1000 E3D attachment
as per the the chat i had with E3D they said it fits on Einsy Retro 1.0 (mk3s comes with i think) but it does not have the locking mechanism that the Prusa thermistors have but they also said the JTS connectors can be replaced with a version that has the locking ability's but needs to be crimped, and should contact the ( https://ultimachine.com ) board makes for the right molex lock connector part number
