Prusaslicer profile for Bondetech hot end.

Hello everyone. I just got a Prusa MK3S with Bondtech hotend upgrade. Firmware version 3.13.3. I downloaded Prusa slicer and added a file to print. When I tried to print it, I got a message that is not the correct G-code for this printer. I printed it anyway and it came out Ok. How can I add the Bondtech to prusa slicer. I am new Prusa owner and appreciate your help.

Could you elaborate a bit more ..  i.e. which is exactly the Bondtech upgrade that you got ?

There’s no such thing as a Bondtech hotend. They manufacture extruders and sell kits for adapting their extruders to Prusas and other brands of 3D printers.  Therefore,  you can purchase a kit composed of a Bondtech extruder and the hardware needed to adapt this extruder to the original hotend of your MK3S :

https://www.bondtech.se/product/prusa-i3-mk3s-extruder-upgrade/

Alternatively,  you can buy a kit composed of a Bondtech extruder and a Slice Engineering hotend (that replaces the Prusa hotend).  For instance :

Thank you. I purchased the prusa MK3S second hand and it already has BondTech extruder installed along with Bondtech 3.13.3 firmware. I just need to add profile for Bontech extruder to Prusa slicer.

When I used the default MK3S printer in Prusa slicer and created a print, my printer, The LCD screen of Prusa says that this is not the correct G-code for this printer.

If the printer works fine and the only problem is that annoying message, you can disable it by modifying the first line of the Gcode start.

- Go to ‘printer configuration” menu and then select “Custom gcode” tab at right.  You’ll see a long series of lines. The first line of ‘Gcode start’  should be :

M862.3 P "[printer_model]" ; printer model check

Add a semicolon at the beginning  :

;M862.3 P "[printer_model]" ; printer model check

Now that command line is converted to a comment and the printer will ignore it. No more model check. ( you can do likewise for the third line that checks the current firmware) .

Save the modified configuration as a new printer with a name of your choice (i.e. MK3S-Bondtech or similar ) .
