Prusa Stops mid print
So, I've had my Prusa since June, bought it assembled and ran wonderful out of the box no issues till around November. It now is stoping at around 3-5 hours. It looks like it restarts but honestly I've not watched the screen while it does it. The print head stays where it was. Just frozen and nothing restarts after the reset thats happening.
I've tried some things I found online and none solved the issue.
Run from new SD card
Run from Octoprint
Flashed the firmware for the prusa(not the new release)
Different files
Cleaned and blew off all dust
all the maintenance needed
I really am at a loss of what to do or try next. Is this a contact prusa moment?
Thanks in advance
Pull and reinsert all the plugs at the Einsy end in case you have a loose or dirty connection.
If that doen't work, contact Prusa Help Chat.
Cheerio,
RE: Prusa Stops mid print
ok, new symptom. I ran petg and it cut out sooner than before. It cut off at about 1.5 hours. so defiantly seems like over heating.
RE: Prusa Stops mid print
Did you get a solution?
I have been struggling with long PETG prints since installing Octoprint. Ran 3.5/9 hours before disconnecting. Octoprint believes it's somewhere below its software. I have:
- Invested in an adafruit power supply
- Added ferrite beads to signal and power cables
This helped run a little longer, but ultimately still a fail.
However, i was able run PLA without OctoPrint for s similar amount of time.
RE: Prusa Stops mid print
When I finally emailed with Prusa sport they told me to disconnect the octoprint.
That solved all of my issues. I've not gone back to using the octoprint because it works. My printer is 6 ft away from my computer, I can roll that SD card over if it means everything goes well.
RE: Prusa Stops mid print
Might be best to start new topic and post pics of printer setup including hotend all round
