Prusa MK3S Frequent crashing
- Recently got an older MK3S running and I've been playing around with it. I've been having some problems with crashing mainly on the y axis. It usually happens once or twice a print but I've been trying to print a more intricate print (articulating ghost leviathan from subnautica). Printed it once with about 45 crashes through 11 hours of printing and on the second go around I'm getting almost nonstop crashes. Video is at 4x speed. Any ideas as to why? https://storage.googleapis.com/prusa3d-content-prod-14e8-wordpress-forum-prod/2025/02/47b1ef72-20250203_194116_1_1.mp4
RE: Prusa MK3S Frequent crashing
Have you Lubed the smooth rods and bearings?
a couple of drops of light oil smeared on the rods, may well help

Unfortunately putting oil on the smooth rods has not solved the issue and the y axis is still crashing just as often it seems. Any other ideas?
