Proto-Pasta Eventual Jam

Hello,

My father and myself have assembeld our 3D printer and we're very very happy with the results. However, For the life of us we can't figure out why it won't print Proto-Pasta galaxy purple. I've tried everything i've found online. I've tried everything in this article

To no avail. I'm at my wits end. It will print fine for so long and then it'll start clicking I've tried loostening/tightening the screws holding the idler to the drive gear. I've tried no fan. I've tried no retraction. I've tried Printing faster. I've tried printing slower. I've tried higher temperatures. I've tried lower temperatures. Acording to Proto-Pasta's website it "should work with default pla settings." I thought my printer head was partially jammed. I replaced it with a fresh one. Still jammed. I took it apart while jammed and found its exactly in the head. I THINK it's either cooling in the head and forming a nubbin, or its reaching its HTPLA "Hardened temp" and becoming a hardned nub in the hot end and then stopping extrusion. Any advice would be very appreciated.

the hot end must have the PTFE tube properly formed on its bottom to seat against the heat sink or the heat break depending on the exact version you have; once it is seated then the black ring collet lock must be lifted to its locked position and one of these c locks fitted to keep it in the up position https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2212260 the next time you disassemble the hot end be sure to do this
assembling the hot end has to be done to a set of rules in the link below it is not hard but you need to be meticulous which is true of almost everything to do with 3d printing today.

was the printer ok printing with the Prusa provided filament and the provided gCode files?

go back to first stages and start the commissioning chapter in the handbook again if the answer to the above is no.

if it yes then suspect the filament that is giving the problem is it at all brittle? compare it to the Prusa supplied filament in your kit. if it is more brittle then it may have a touch of moisture contamination in which case it will need to be dried out

see lots of info on the web for ways to do this.
