Problem temperature nozzle low
Hello everyone, suddenly my mk3s gives problems with temperature of nozzle.
It does not exceed 208 degrees and it takes a long time to reach that temperature.
I have changed the complete nozzle, with heat resistance and temperature sensor and the same thing happens.
I think the problem will be in the Einsy Rambo .... but modifying something is more difficult.
Can you think of the problem or something to try?

Hi, this sounds like the problem I'm having at the moment. I also think it is the Einsy Rambo as I have swapped thermistors and performed factory reset etc... I'm unsure what else to try.

Hi,
I have been doing tests for several days and it seems that it is a problem with the Hotend heater cartridge. If I feed it separately with 24v, it does not exceed the temperature of 170 degrees, and it seems that the replacement is also damaged.
Try doing that simple test to see if you have the same problem.

where did you get the replacement thermistors?
are they semitec 100k cartridge thermistors?
do they read the same temperatures as the heatbed thermistor, when at room temperature?

Soko, could it be an issue with your power supply rather than heater element?

Hi Joan, replacement thermistor was from a new E3D V6 hotend borrowed from a friend. It had short leads so I had to use my existing wiring harness.
I have been working with a Prusa technician to narrow down the problem. They still think it is a thermistor issue and are sending a replacement to try. I can only see this working if I have a broken wire (wiggling the wire seems to have no effect on performance) or if both my thermistors are faulty.
All thermistors are reading correctly at room temperature.
The only other test I can think of is testing the thermistor at a high temperature. However the cooling fan will stop as soon as I unplug the thermistor to test it - risking melting the plastic components of the hotend... Any ideas how to perform this test?

Hi Joan, also my replacement thermistor was from a original E3D V6 replacemente.
jtop, I think the same, but de voltaje is ok and the power supply apears work fine.

Hi Soko & Jtop,
can be as easy as I had a similar issue: a wrong positioning of the lower cooling fan deflector that was inflating part of the air over the hotend, lowering the nozzle temperature. 😣
Please check carefully, and to test just remove the circular blowing fan (not the one that cools the E3D)
