RE:
ok so if the pinda is white i can almost gaurntee the printer is not an mk3s+ and ince the extruder motor has been replaced i would say itsa an mk3s or mk3 so first try flash mk3s firmware to printer then see how it reacts then flash mk3 firmware to printer i would do mk3 firmware first as on the mk3s i belive they changed the lcd pcb witch could cause screen scramble

RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
Ok, so we were a bit surprised by what you just told us and so we asked around a bit.
This printer was a collective gift we received last Christmas, I put a bit of money and the rest of the family pitched in and bought the printer. We had a little chat about it, and it didn't really go well.
We can confirm that the printer is a fake. We didn't really question it before, after all there's 'original' written on it, so. Yeah.
We're pretty upset about that, especially since we previously had an ender3 that kept bugging and we wanted to finally have a printer we could trust and that was the reason we went with a prusa. Especially since I already knew the machine, since there's one at my workplace that works like a dream.
You guys were so nice and helpful with us and we're really sorry, we kinda feel like cheaters right now. Seeing the troubles we keep having here, we're most certainly going to have to buy a new, official Einsy board. It's the least we could do. We just hope that it'll end up compatible with the printer.
Thank you so much for the time you took to help us with this.
We hope we can remain on the forum. The community around here was really awesome, and we want to contribute to, when we can, give back some of the time you took to help us.
RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
I've got good news you don't need to buy new einsy just flash mk3s firmware if it doesn't work flash mk3 firmware

RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
That should make it work if still not try flash mk2.5 firmware it should suit your printer

RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
Hello again and thank you very much, you are lovely 🙂
We’ve done as you said and flashed the mk3 firmware. The printer told us that it needed the mk3s firmware.
We then flashed the 3.8 mk3s firmware. The slicer told us that the flash failed and yet the firmware was nonetheless installed on the printer. We tried a series of 2-3hours prints, there were still a few that stopped mid-print, and a couple dashes to z=0, but much less than before, and the screen still scrambles. But most prints turned out just fine, so we’re going to try out a 20 hour print and see how it goes.
If it doesn’t work out, we’ll try flashing the mk2.5 firmware.
We’ll keep you posted on how it goes
You guys are really awesome. Thanks a ton for all the help you’re giving us 🙂
RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
The screen scramble is unrelated to the prints as the screen 12c is probably different to what prusa code is that means you may need new lcd could probably get one from AliExpress do let me know how 20 hour print goes any error please take photo or put exactly what the error is then I will go from there on advice don't bother with mk 2.5 firmware as the printer is confirmed as a mk3s I will give more advice when I hear back from 20 hour print

RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
Put some lube on rods when printer operating so the lube will spread into where it needs to go when it's operating

RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
Hi again! Our 20 hour print stopped just 3 or 4 hours after the print had started. Sometimes when the print stops the printing heaaad remains in place, but sometimes, like this time, the nuzzle went back to auto home. Besides that, the print looks clean, merely unfinished.
Here's a pic :
We are not surprised that the screen scrambling issue was unrelated to the rest of our printing woes. It was too consistently there all the time even while the rest of our issues kept evolving that it felt like something completely separate. After learning our printer was a fake, we wanted to maybe buy the new lcd directly from prusa, but will it even be compatible? We're a bit wary of buying from Ali Express now, since we're worried about compatibility issue.
We followed your advice and lubed the rods, so we'll see if that makes a change too.
Thank you again 🙂
RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
tiny update: we tried a new 4 hours print, and we had about a dozen beeps in a row (it beeped, paused, reheated, then strarted printing again, then beeping once more, etc) during the first hour (the screen was scrambling and we didn't see any power panic error messages), but now it seems to be printing just fine.
The ^rint looks very ugly but it's still going, so we're letting it play out.
RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
So I would say prusa lcd may be compatible but if you can take pic of back of your lcd so I can see the conector let me know how print goes and make next print a 20 min box just a small box 20 percent infill and report back how it goes

A 20 by 20 mm cube will do

RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
Alright! So we tried the 20x20mm cube with 20% filling. It came out pretty fine, except for a blob on the side. It was a bit late when we started the print and we heard it beep during the night so we think that might be the cause (we suspect another power panic).
Here’s a pic :
Here is the pic of the lcd:
Thank you again 🙂
RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
So to start with flip the 2 lcd cable around see if it makes a difference it is an open source lcd and should be compatible but flipping the w around may fix it the cube isn't looking to bad now try 40x40 cube

Because it is about a Fysetc printer,
you can also search the Fysetc forum for solutions.
RE: Printer stops mid print, power panic error, screen scramble
Alright!
we tried printing the 4x4 cube and it came out just fine, here’s a pic:
However since then, most of our prints have been stopped due to power panic errors and beeping.
we tried switching the lcd cables as you said, but it did not work at all. The screen kept switching on and off without showing anything. We made a video of it:
We switched them back, and the screen works again though there’s still screen scrambling.
Currently the printer seems to be working without the power panic beeping, so there’s really not predicting it.
on the topic of fysetc, we haven’t yet managed to create an account since we can’t receive the confirmation email. As there doesn’t seem to be a topic that fits our problem (or at least we didn’t find any) and we won’t be able to create a new topic until we have an account, it appears that we are stuck.
Speaking of, would you happen to know if there’s a fysetc specific firmware? We haven’t managed to find out if that’s the case.
Thank you again for your help 🙂
