Printer resetting possibly due to static disharge?

Is anyone else having an issue with their MK3S running FW 3.6.0-2069 resetting the display when touching it?

I live in a 4 season climate (Canada) and during winter months static discharge is more of an issue than normal and I am having an issue where I touch the frame and the LCD goes blank and in some cases the printer partially resets. I can't say for sure that the correlation is due to a static discharge but that is my guess.

Comments?

Absolutely. I've had it happen once or twice. I now make it a habit to touch the power supply case or grounded chassis before the rest of the printer.

I'm guessing that the static is at the least enough to mess with the display signals until it gets a chance to refresh the display; a reset might be because the static is enough for the einsy to think the reset button was pressed.

I saw a suggestion here to print an LCD housing from conductive/static dissipative material; that'd work since the frame is grounded and the housing bolts to it.

Yes, I've printed all electronic housings (Rambo/Einsy housing, powersuppy mount end the LCD cover) with ESD-PETG (yes, i's espensive !) and no issue anymore.

WOW $90 a kilo... I think I will just keep touching the power supply case 😯
A failed print with this stuff would really hurt as you binned the scrap.

Yesss

But it's a great material. I use it for electronic components too. Prints wonderful housings.
