Print over a Void - 'Temporary Plug' - how to ?

It has probably been discussed before - I seem to remember seing this years ago on YouTube ....

But I need to print both a accurate Plug where the sides has a 'Draft-Angle' and the matching Filler Hole in the Big 3D Print. The Plug is not a problem.

For a number of reasons the Hole has to be printed on its side => This gives me a problem when the printer has to do several accurate Bridges over a span of 40mm.

I'm sure I saw a Video where the Author told the Slicer to Pause - so he could put a Plug of the right shape into the Void - and then tell the Printer to continue the Print. That bit is not a problem for me .... But I can't remember how he avoided that the Next Layer stuck to the Plug ....!

It vould be nice to be able to either use the same Plug as is supposed to be used in the Hole after all is done - or if it needs to be slightly smaller (clearance), Print the Temporary Plug too ...!

But I then need to do something that will Prevent this from happening ....

I have thought Oil, Grease or Tape as some of the options - anyone got a better Solution ?

Thank you for the Answer 🙂

I'm not sure how you would Ream a Square Hole - I have used Round and Tapered Reamers for those shapes, but ....

... Or is it a function I haven't discovered in the Slicer ?

That said - how much do you normally undersize the 'Plug' - I'm guessing something like 0.2mm ...?

0.2 should be OK.  Use flat faced needle files.
