Original Prusa i3 MK3s - MINTEMP Error - Wire cut during cleaning!
Hi there,
I am a complete noob in the 3d printing world and during printing with the Prusa Mk3s the filament melted inside and I tried to clean it with a heat gun. Unfortunately, during cleaning, I cut a black wire. :/
Now I am getting MINTEMP error, how can I fix it? Attached picture for clarification.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated and thank you so very much for your help in advance.

Hello and welcome to the Prusaforum!
That looks quite battered, as if a blob had formed.
As I can see on the picture, the thermistor is defective because the wire is broken. You have to replace it in any case - it is available as a spare part from Prusa. I can't see exactly what is damaged, but maybe you have to replace the heating cartridge or the complete hotend and some extruder plastic parts. There are enough instructions for this in the net.

I was able to fix the issue by resoldering the hotend thermistor E3D. Thanks everyone.

Alloys commonly used for electrical soldering are 60/40 Sn-Pb, which melts at 188 °C
Don't expect a typical solder repair to last near a hot end that operates well above the eutectic point of solder. If you silver soldered it, or welded it, you're probably okay.

@davidcopherofficial
If the soldered connection becomes loose, there is a risk of a short circuit which could destroy the Einsy. I would definitely replace the thermistor!

Good advice. My first near fire was caused by a short in my bed wires. I was lucky I was home and awake.
