"No SD card" fails while print is in progress
Hello,
I'm using Prusa MK3 for 2 years, but few days ago it started to fail on every print after while with blinking LCD screen and showing "No SD card" error...
But the SD card reader works!
- I can browse contents and start any print from the card
- I have replaced SD card
- The failure happens few minutes after print starts (e.g. at 10% - 15% progress)
- It fails on every print
I ve updated the FW to latest 2.2.0, without any change.
Please, help 🙂

Sounds to me like it could be dirty (hopefully) or worn (not good) contacts on the SD card slot on the board. I would first try some contact cleaner.

I have disassembled LCD module and cleaned the SD contacts with IPA.
The problem got a little worse as the card has to be inserted more carefully now.
So the issue is not solved, printer is still failing at the same point of progress = after first layer completion.
Brand new SD card fails with same issue, at the same time.

The Sd card slots are pretty flimsy. There's a printable on thingiverse to reinforce the slot which might help https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3345508

Thanks, but our printer cannot finish any print ... and to be honest, I don't like the idea fixing it that way.
We need a reliable device for the price.
Will issue a complaint for SD reader fix or LCD module replacement.

[PROBLEM SOLVED]
We have noticed there is a question-mark at Z-axis value on LCD.
XYZ calibration fixed the weird No SD card failure.
Will print the card fixture.
