Need to replace hotend, but out of stock forever it seems
I had an issue with my thermistor (weird temp readings), but I can't get it out of the heater block and while messing around I broke some wires, so I decided to replace the entire hotend.
The only issue ... thermistor, the heater cartridge and the assembled hotend have been out of stock for ages now on the Prusa site, and nobody knows when they will be back in stock. I was not in a hurry but it's starting to become really annoying (I'm out of a printer for over a month now).
Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can resolve this? I saw people mention the Revo Six from E3D, but is that plug and play, and what about the PTFE tube? Also does this hotend work with all the standard Prusa profiles in their slicer or do I need to start tuning everything myself? Also, do I need the fully loaded kit or only the single nozzle kit?
I have an MK3S (I think 😀 I upgraded my MK3 ages ago, so it for sure is an S, no idea if it might be an S+ because it has been such a long time ago, and this thing just kept on working without me tinkering with it).

If you just want to replace the standard hotend parts, Filastruder in the US has a good supply. Be sure to get the Prusa versions (different cable lengths). PrintedSolid and MatterHackers also carry some Prusa versions of the E3D hotend parts.

And the Dragon hotend is as close to a drop in replacement as it gets. And you get one handed nozzle swaps.
