Need petg stick help(printer unhappy)

UG, sorry if this is annoying to look at.

I need legit help, I can NOT get petg to stick anymore to the tex sheet. I have done all the standard wash, soap, rinse, re-center ect. IT will print the calb layer 100% perfect, but if I try to print anything about half way through it breaks free and well, you see the picture.

So, as a test I used the pla sheet, it stuck like hell, but, if you look, you can see what a disaster the print is.

I have no idea where to go from here so I'm asking for help, this all happened after I had a pla blob that destroyed my print head, I managed to save the metal/wire parts and rebuild it with the spare I printed off the second I got the printer running(all in petg).

I am open to any/all advice to any tests I might run to help anybody give me more advice because I have no clue what is going on right now.

Thanks girls/guys.

I should say, I print at 85/240 first layer 90/250 after, fan off completly for petg(warping was out of control)

First layer speeds are halfed from what the standard prusa speeds are.

I've seen similar results to your top photo on my 'other' printer (Ultimaker) when inconsistent extrusion was caused by flakes of scorched material in the nozzle flaking off and partially clogging the nozzle opening.  In my case a hot/cold pull did not remove all of it, and I ended up disassembling the hot end and using a drill bit and a dental explorer to remove the scorched filament residue from the inside of the nozzle.

If you manually extrude filament does the filament flow straight down or does it tend to veer off to one side, or maybe tend to curl up on the nozzle?  If so, there's most likely an obstruction in the nozzle.

Cleaning filament, cold pull, needling, etc. may help.

it ends to burn to one side.... should I just replace the nozzle and try again? Its the orignal nozzle that is about a year old.

With ordinary, non-abrasive filaments I expect to wear out a nozzle roughly once a year...

Cheerio,

That could very well indicate a partially clogged or as Diem noted, worn nozzle.

If you have another nozzle handy, it might be good to try it.

If not, I would first try a cold pull procedure.  The procedure is outlined here: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/cold-pull-mk3s-mk2-5s_2075    You can use either cleaning filament if you have it, or plain old PLA filament.

If the problem persists, what I would do is first carefully probe ('needle') it (while at printing temperature) with an acupuncture needle, then remove the nozzle and inspect it and carefully remove any scorched filament remains.

If you are not familiar with changing nozzles, you might want to read up on the procedure in the Knowledge Base as well as in this forum, as many users, myself included, do not first twist the heat block, as the official Prusa video shows.

Holy crap, when I rebuilt it I had to do a ton of heating/pulling to clear out the tube, it always pulls to one side I never thought that might be the problem, I will check that out today.
