Need an advice for getting the right lube
Hello people, last month i was about to send my printer to prusa HQ till i was able to fix the problem with the expense of community's kindness. Now I'm currently thinking of doing some maintenance on the printer and ive been thinking of lubricating the smooth rods and linear bearings. Ive been seeing this black marks on the extruder rods and hearing some not so smooth noises from the bed, so i concluded on lubricating them. My print quality are good though, except from some stringing, im just not sure if that correlates to my lube problem so i thought i should add it in this topic
Ive research a bit about the topic and heres what i got
1. stay away from wd40
2. light machine oil or bicycle oil is applicable( just dont know what brand im supposed to get)

Just need youre 2 cents on this, id like to know your maintenance routine, what lubricants you use and how many months before you doing some kind of maintence. ive been printing for atleast 3-6hours a day and boy i got no enclosure so the dust might be killing my rods and bearings.
My printer is MK3s
- my total print time is 5d: 4hours
- filament is 153.8 m
- i have the printer for about a month and a half

SuperLube with Teflon is a fair choice; a few of us have used it. Some use a Lithium based grease called Lith-Ease; also a fair choice.
The only thing requiring lubrication is the bearings, and they need to be packed with grease when installed, and the rods cleaned and greased once in a while. The stepper bearings are lubed for life at the factory and shouldn't need additional lubrication. 3in1 or Sewing Machine Oil will work if you really think they are drying out... but you also risk the oil displacing any grease that might be there to places oil and grease shouldn't be.
