Mk3S+in a cool room getting MINTEMP errors after firmware update

I recently updated the firmware for the first time in nearly a year and now I'm getting repeated MINTEMP errors when it's sitting idle. It's in an unheated basement where the temperature is about 10-14C this time of year.

As I understand, this is around the temperature where it can look like the thermistor is faulty and the new firmware revamped the "thermal model", so it's probably a combination of the cool room temperature and the new firmware that's conspiring to give me constant MINTEMP errors.I would rarely get MINTEMP errors with the old firmware, but that only happened upon starting a print, and it was easily worked around by preheating the nozzle to 25C before starting a print. But now it happens at idle. Not printing anything. And it makes a loud constant beeping noise. I had to shut it off completely.I reran the thermal calibration but that didn't fix it.

Given that heating the basement or finding a new home for the printer isn't feasible, what can I do? What should I do?

Go back to an old firmware before the "thermal model" was reworked?

If the temperature stays idle not jumping the use a hair dryer before turning on the printer to heat bed and nozzle a bit

Please help me out by downloading a model it's free and easy but really helps me out https://www.printables.com/@Hello_474427/models

Thanks but that doesn't address the problem.

For example, after the print completes and things cool down to ambient again, it's going to false alarm again, making a loud noise, disturbing the household, etc.
