I bought a second hand MK3S+ with a MMU2S and added the e3D Revo.

I updated the firmware on the MK3S+ and the MMU2S.

Tried some thing to make it work.

But every time I try to start to make a print the printer saids "G-code sliced for a different printer type, continue?"

I have tried to: switch MMU on and off inside the printer settings.

Tried the slicers seen in the following screenshot.

But still with no succes.

Does someone know what i should try next?

Thank you in advance.

do you have a 0.6mm nozzle in the printer?
Nozzles should be colour coded

is the printer firmware set to 0.6mm nozzle?  LCD Menu

what firmware does the printer say is installed? Lcd Menu

regards Joan

have a look in the printer>Custom Gcode start Gcode

see if there are lines line these at the beginning

M862.3 P "[printer_model]" ; printer model check

M862.1 P[nozzle_diameter] ; nozzle diameter check

M115 U3.14.0 ; tell printer latest fw version

and consider deleting them

Also I use octoprint with a raspberry pi 4, because the sd slot was not working.

Also when I use the printer with the MK3S 0.4mm, (also sliced for the 0,4mm, without MMU2S) the printer works without giving the command. "G-code sliced for a different printer type, continue?"

But when I try to use the MMU2s it doesn't.

Does somebody know the answer 🙂

Well, 3d-printers (at least most of them) are pretty stupid machines, they just do what you tell them to with your gcode. So if your printer does something or doesn't when you feed it a specific gcode the reason normally is in the gcode. That's why Joan keeps asking about the gcode - you might want to check the gcode....

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!

Dear Robin and Joan,

I had tried everything but forgot to mention I also use Octaprint. After correcting the settings in octaprint the MMU worked.

Thank you for your help and response.
