MK3S stuck in recovering print
Hi,
I was trying to start print yesterday on MK3S but it showed the "new firmware available". I have killed the printer with power switch and it made loud beep (power panic?). I have updated firmware to 3.7.2 today with no problems but now it shows "recovering print", then "heating" but nothing is happening. There is no print menu and if I try to start different print it is still stuck in "heating" without temperature changing.
What can I try to fix this?
Thank you!

Hi Soukup,
Never had this problem myself... have you tried pressing the X button, under the LCD knob, whilst the printer is turned on, to reset the firmware?
if that fails, you could try a factory reset, but you would have to do live Z again, and if you have used it bed level correction too...
regards Joan

I have tried the "X" reset with no luck. I will try factory reset, thank you!
RE: MK3S stuck in recovering print
try factory reset without clearing data first, if that doesn't work, try again including clearing data.
best wishes, Joan

Any luck from anyone having this problem? What does PRUSA say?

Sorry, forgot to update.
I have used factory reset, did calibration again and everything works!
Thanks for your help @joantabb!
RE: MK3S stuck in recovering print
Hi, I am having this problem a lot with my MK3S. I switch it on, it says "Recovering print", then goes into "Heating..." but it never finishes because it is aiming for a temp of zero. Usually I'm able to clear it by getting the printer to do something else, such as selecting "Preheat" or removing the filament. But if I select to "Print from CD", it won't start. this evening none of the methods to clear it seem to have worked, no matter how many times I reset or try to "distract" the printer into doing something else. I would rather not have to recalibrate each time to clear this. Are then any updates on this problem? I have firmware 3.8.1-2869 - haven't yet checked if this is the latest. Thanks
