MK3S+ Err: MINTEMP AMB

For context, here's the backstory:  about 4 years ago right after I received my MMU2S kit but before I installed it, I was printing something out of PLA overnight.  When I checked on it in the morning, I saw the glue stick had failed and the print blocked the nozzle which kept pumping out melted filament and now resembled the elephant's foot at Chernobyl.  Then life happened and I haven't touched it for 4 years until a few days ago.

I ordered new printed parts and a new hotend and rebuilt the E-Axis from the beginning.  I was able to use my yexisting motor, fans, PINDA, and IR sensor.  The printed parts I ordered from Prusa, but the hotend I got on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F7S5R25Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title).   It was $50 less and had good reviews.  To be clear - I don't think it's the issue, but I wanted to mention it just in case.

I powered it on this morning, flashed it to the latest firmware (14. something) and it started some alarm that I had trouble turning off.  Searching for an answer, it sounded like it had something to do with temperature modeling and was first seen in firmware v12 and back then, it was recommended by users to revert to firmware v11.  So that's what I did.  I  wanted to get through the self test and then deal with upgrading the firmware back to the current version.

Now, I get the Err: MINTEMP AMB notification.  To be clear - this is not the temp of the hotbed or the hotend.  This is the ambient temperature.  Apparently it has a NTC thermistor located at the bottom of the EINSY that won't let it print if the ambient temp is too low.  Above the error message, the temp it's reporting is 0 degrees C.  Obviously this is not correct because it's right next to the desk I'm currently typing this at.

I haven't had any luck finding what I need to do to resolve this.  I don't believe it's related to the hotend, and I don't believe I damaged the NTC thermistor or anything else on the EINSY when I was disconnecting and reconnecting.  But both of those are technically possibilities, I guess.  Any ideas on how to fix or even how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.  Thanks!

0 implies no current ... most likely a loose or dirty connection, broken wire or, unlikely but possible, a burned out thermistor.

If you have a multimeter disconnect it and check the resistance - it should vary with heat - eg the touch of a warm finger.

Cheerio,
