MK3 or MK3S firmware? with a MK3 + MK3S upgrade including MMU2(S)
I have a MK3 and MMU2 that came with MK3S upgrade parts and I bought the MMU2->MMU2S upgrade when that first came out - all installed correctly, I think. I was just about to make some firmware changes (to deal with the spurious MINTEMP error), but not sure which configuration I should use, the MK3 configuration or the MK3S configuration?
I compared the two configurations in the source, and the differences are that the 3S version sets up for the Delta PSU and for IR_SENSOR instead of PAT9125.
I have the silver older PSU so I guess I don't want PSU_Delta PSU_Delta, but I suspect I do want IR_SENSOR rather than PAT9125. How can I tell whether I should be using IR_SENSOR, or PAT9125?
I've been running with the MK3S pre-built 3.8.1 firmware but now I'm not certain that was correct, although it does seem to work. I think it's likely I have an IR sensor on the extruder - the filament sensor feature works, at least. Maybe the PSU_Delta thing doesn't matter if I don't have the black PSU (seems to fiddle with additional discrete signals that maybe don't go anywhere with the old PSU)?

In the absence of a definitive answer, I've gone with setting IR_SENSOR, and commenting out PSU_Delta. Working so far 🤠
