MINTEMP triggered for Nozzle and Bed

Dear All,

Is there a way to lower the min temp threshold for the nozzle and the bed. My Printer is in the garage and now with colder weather it is 15 degrees there but the printer will go in MINTEMP ERR then.

Then I need to use a heatgun to raise the temp.

So is there a way?

You could do some changes in the firmware but i would prefer to work with an enclosure: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/cheap-simple-3d-printer-enclosure/

one member takes a coffee out with them, stands it on the build plate, near the extruder and turns the printer on... the heat from the cup heats both!

OK, that is brilliant! Is that really effective? If so, it doesn't sound like much heat is required.

My printer stopped during the night, panel says: MINTEMP fixed, please restart.

Pressing the knob doesnt help. Does it mean I must turn the printer off, and then on again?

@bobstro

You usually only need to raise the temperatures a couple of degrees...    to overcome the mintemp safety feature,
