MINTEMP BED fixed
Hey all,
in the mean time at allmost every print, I get this "MINTEMP BED fixed" alternating with "Please restart" message.
I preheated the printer several times and wiggled all the cables, but the Extruder and Bed Temperature remain stable.
Any Ideas, how to fix this? I have the newest firmware...
Best Regards, Peter
RE: MINTEMP BED fixed
I've been having the same issue for the last couple of days. I've torn the printer apart (Mine's a MINI+) and can't find anything loose or damaged. The printer's 3 months old. The first time it happened in the middle of the night - 12 hours into a 2-day print. The second time - 2 hours into a print, but while I was in a meeting, so I just shut the whole thing down quickly again. The third time was 20 minutes into a print this morning and I was able to take a picture and get the details that something in the bed thermistor might be damaged. Can't find anything.
I restored the previous firmware on a whim and successfully printed a 40-minute print and am now a couple of hours into a temp tower. I'm not convinced that it was the firmware, and a new bed is on the way, just in case.
RE: MINTEMP BED fixed solved
Since the issue came up after a firmware update, a software bug was my first suspect. The wiggling of all the cables was not reproducing the failure which strenghtens that vie point.
Yesterday I was making another try and squeezed the Bed Thermistor Cable cm by cm. And I found one spot. When you squeeze it at an exact location under a specific angle, the Bed Temp goes to zero. Very hard to find and to reproduce. So obviously an internal cable fracture was the problem.
I replaced the thermistor cable. Now everything works ok.

RE: MINTEMP BED fixed
So is it the bed thermistor cable or the software update? Where is the bed thermistor cable on the MK3S?
Thanks! I'm new to this!
