Min Bed Temp Error

Hi Printer was working fine but stopped mid print with the minbedtemp error and bed is now reading 0/0 as the temp. Given that my printer has gone through over 2000 hours printing, the most likely cause is a break in the cable somewhere. That said i'm very glad the thermal runaway protection kicked in and through the error as the issue happen around 1 AM last night while i was asleep with the print running.

I have of course already checked the cable and there is no external damage and also re-seated the connector on the control board.

So is it possible to get a new thermistor with cable to stick to my head bed or do I need to order an entire replacement heat bed?

Opps missed it when I checked the store before.

Have now ordered it. Hopefully this gets me printing again as just installed my new MMU2 unit and keen to do some multi colour prints.

you could consider replacing the thermistor wire between the piece under the bed where it does not flex, and the piece inside the Einsy case, where it does not flex.

it is likely that your heatbed power wires have also suffered significant flexing,
You may be wise to get some replacement wire in, in advance of this happenning...

I keep a stock of  16AWG flexible Silicone insulated wire, on hand  to repair the power leads on my printers...

the original Prusa wires have 21 conductors, the flexible silicone wires have 252 finer conductors which makes the wire more flexible and less likely to fail with repeated movement

this wire is able to supply 22Amps, which is more than twice the total rated power output for the Mk3xx printer power supply
on my 4 Prusa's I have replaced the original wires on them all, but I have never had the new wires fail.

I also keep 24AWG Flexible Silicone wire, on hand to repair thermistor wires, motor wires, fan wires or Pinda wires.
having the wire, heat shrink tubing, Solder and soldering iron available, means that I can make repairs quickly and efficiently.

Good point on the bed power cables. I did think about replacing the wires on the thermistor but the replacement part was fairly low cost and I was ordering some more filament anyway so just put it in with that.
